Connect data sources
BAScloud connects building data from a wide range of sources, detects and closes data gaps, validates and standardises values – and supplies all connected applications with the same quality-assured data foundation.
BAScloud connects building data from a wide range of sources, detects and closes data gaps, validates and standardises values – and supplies all connected applications with the same quality-assured data foundation.
Meters and sensors provide the operational foundation for every building analysis – from energy and water consumption to temperature and air quality readings. BAScloud connects meters and sensors directly, reads their measurements continuously and automatically converts them into a uniform format.
This applies both to newly installed, networked meters and to existing metering infrastructure in the building stock.
Building automation controls and monitors technical systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning and lighting – and in doing so stores valuable operating data that often remains isolated within the respective system. The building management system (BMS) configures, monitors and visualises the technical systems.
BAScloud integrates existing BMS solutions via common building automation protocols and makes their data available for central analysis and for other applications – without changing the existing system control.
Modern buildings increasingly capture data via IoT devices – from wireless sensors to networked system components. BAScloud provides its own connectors that link IoT devices from different manufacturers and feed their data directly into the central data platform.
New devices or device types can be added step by step without affecting the existing connections.
In addition to meters, sensors and building automation, many real estate companies already use specialised systems – such as CAFM software, energy management systems, asset management solutions and PM/ERP systems.
Rather than replacing these existing systems, BAScloud connects them via standardised interfaces and combines their data with all other connected sources. This can include both technical and commercial data.
Not every relevant piece of information is available digitally and automatically. Meter readings, external reports or inventory data from spreadsheets can also be brought into BAScloud – entered manually or imported.
This creates a complete and consistent data foundation even for buildings without comprehensive sensors or a BMS.
The technical assignment of the data does not remain static: integrations and tools keep updating it continuously. During a mobile meter reading, for example, the master data of the respective meter is confirmed or corrected directly in the reading process – keeping the data foundation and its context up to date without separate maintenance effort.
Every data source comes with its own formats, units and structures. BAScloud consolidates these different formats and translates them into a uniform, standardised structure – regardless of whether the data comes from a BMS, an IoT device, a specialist system or manual entry.
Only then does data from different sources become truly comparable and usable together.
