Collect, process and archive technical real estate data: BAScloud moves to the Microsoft Azure Cloud
Groß-Bieberau, 18.11.2020. With BAScloud, the Hessian company ProFM Facility & Project Management GmbH has been revolutionising technical real estate operations since the end of 2018. Now the solution is moving to the Mircosoft Azure Cloud and thus achieves even greater data security, among other things.
“The decision to move to the Microsoft Azure Cloud had several good reasons,” explains Stefan Schaffner, Managing Director at ProFM. “On the one hand, this makes the BAScloud more scalable, and on the other, it makes its operation even more secure.” In addition, ProFM expands the circle of users. “Thanks to the Azure Cloud, the BAScloud is no longer only available locally, but worldwide,” says Schaffner. “This is an important step forward for many customers, as they sometimes manage properties globally and are thus no longer limited with the BAScloud.” The BAScloud remains easy to integrate in the future and impresses with its high stability, performance and redundancy.
The solution implements an innovative idea in a simple and ingenious way: The BAScloud brings together all the data relevant to building operations for a property or even several properties, collects it in a secure location in the cloud and makes it available via API optimised for further use.
“This opens up completely new possibilities for property owners and managers,” explains Claus Mink, Managing Director of ProFM. “They connect value-added services at the push of a button, without the high expense of providing technical interfaces.”
In this way, you can benefit from services such as energy management and monitoring, anomaly detection, meter management or hygiene management (drinking water) with just one click – naturally in compliance with current safety standards.
The BAScloud also manages the building master data and has a central authorisation management – which plays a key role as an essential basis for managing building data in the course of digitalisation: In this way, only authorised persons or automated services can access the data at any time. In addition, this function forms the basis for prioritising data inputs and specifications, for example, when defining target values.
As a multi-client capable system, it can map or network several individual properties. This also enables data exchange between different objects. With the help of BAScloud, even smaller properties without their own BMS can be connected to central systems (e.g. energy management system or BMS) efficiently and cost-effectively.
The BAScloud also ensures the reduction of capital expenditure (CAPEX) and shifts costs to usage-based operating expenditure (OPEX). At the same time, this reduces the total expenditure for the owners.
